Staffed by two doctoral level, fully credentialed and licensed counselors, Fresh Start Counseling currently serves 60 clients with professional mental health counseling.  Approximately 15% of all clients are pro bono with the remainder receiving services on a sliding scale fee.  With our mental health component, we collaborate with Lenoir Rhyne University, Liberty University, Montreat College, and Appalachian State University to work with practicum and internship students who are able to provide mental health services pro bono for clients in need. Many individuals need counseling services to help to remove emotional barriers to employment.
