The Outreach Center in Morganton has so much to be thankful for. Amazing supporters, staff and volunteers plus a community that cares and comes together to help those in need. This video is from the Thanksgiving Food Distribution held Tuesday, Nov. 26th. It also feature's Outreach Center staff, volunteers, and a few clients telling why they are thankful. Lila Earns a Piano
When you support The Outreach Center in Morganton you support dreams and help them become reality. Lila's dream was to play the piano. She's part of TOC's Arts and Cultural Program and enrolled in piano lessons. Not only can she now play, she earned her very own piano via TOC's Earned Instrument Program. Build A Backpack - 2019
Here are highlights from this year's Build A Backpack Event. Holly Johnson Maureen Mo Schwind Charles Conley Many thanks to all who made this year's event possible and all who participated. Because of you, hundreds of Burke County school students are starting the year with the supplies they need to do their best. Thank You North Liberty School
Here's a video with TOC's Kim Parks Michaels introducing you to some hard working volunteers from North Liberty School. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning The Outreach Center in Morganton is blessed to have wonderful and hard working volunteer students from North Liberty School. They fill grocery bags, bag toilet paper and cookies and pasta, sort donations, break down cardboard boxes and place items to be given away on shelves. They also are learning vocational skills such as following directions, counting, sorting and listening to different supervisors. Thank You North Liberty for all you do! Special thanks to Kim Parks Michaels and Levi Michaels. Senior Food Box Distribution
Thanks to all who made the monthly Senior Food Box Distribution possible today (Wednesday, 9.19.18) at The Outreach Center in Morganton. Here's video hosted by TOC's Development Director TODD GREENE. Around 50 Burke County seniors were provided food boxes and fresh cheese. Special thanks today to Kim Parks Michaels, Levi Michaels, Greg Crowder, Kari Whited, Benjamin Loera, Christian Foy, Brandy Wilson, Thomas Rebecca Bjorlie and of course all of the wonderful seniors who are part of the program. This is a monthly program and seniors are accepted via application.
Thank You Silvertone Guitars for Making a Difference
A large part of The Outreach Center's Arts and Culture guitar lessons is to not only teach guitar but to boost self confidence in our students. Here's the story of a wonderful donation from Silvertone guitars to our program as told by TOC's Development Director and guitar instructor Todd Greene. Thank you to Silvertone and all of our incredible supporters for making a difference in the lives of all our students, including the ones in this video. Want to see the difference first hand?
